Explosive Showdown in Madhya Pradesh: PhonePe Takes on Congress, Threatens Legal Battle over Bold Posters Showcasing Shivraj Chouhan

Digital payments company PhonePe has recently expressed its concern over the unauthorized use of its logo in political posters amid a fierce poster war between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party in the politically charged state of Madhya Pradesh, currently gearing up for elections.

In a strongly-worded statement, PhonePe clarified that it has no affiliation with any political campaign or party, and highlighted the fact that its logo is a registered trademark owned by the company. To protect its intellectual property rights, PhonePe issued a stern warning that legal action will be taken against any unauthorized usage of its logo.

The company's statement read, "We are not associated with any political campaign or party. PhonePe logo is a registered trademark of our company and any unauthorised use of PhonePe's intellectual property rights will invite legal action. We humbly request @INCMP to remove the posters and banners featuring our brand logo and colour."

Reacting to the situation, the Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Narottam Mishra, assured that appropriate action would be taken if PhonePe proceeds with a formal complaint regarding the matter. Mishra further accused the Congress party of resorting to manipulative tactics to divert attention from its internal conflicts. He revealed that Congress workers were found to be responsible for putting up these objectionable posters in various locations across Chhindwara, Gwalior, Narsinghpur, Bhopal, and other areas. Supporting his claim, Mishra cited CCTV footage that allegedly confirmed the involvement of Congress workers in the distribution of these controversial posters.

In response to the offensive posters featuring Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Madhya Pradesh Police has taken swift action by registering a case against unidentified individuals involved in the creation and dissemination of these materials. The case aims to bring those responsible to justice and deter any further acts of unauthorized usage of intellectual property.

The escalating poster war in Madhya Pradesh has undoubtedly added fuel to the already intense political atmosphere in the state. As the battle for power continues to intensify, it remains to be seen how the concerned parties and authorities will navigate this situation while upholding the principles of fair play and adherence to legal guidelines.
