During the counselling period, candidates will have the opportunity to fill their choices of colleges and courses. This selection process will take place from July 22 to July 26, providing candidates ample time to carefully deliberate and finalize their preferred options. The aim is to ensure fairness and efficiency in the allocation of seats.
To help candidates get a glimpse of the possible seat allocation outcome, the MCC has planned a mock seat allocation on July 27, 2023. This mock round serves as a practice session, allowing candidates to make any necessary adjustments and fine-tune their choices before the final seat allotment.
For those candidates who may wish to modify or change their choices, the window for doing so will remain open until July 28, 2023. This provision enables candidates to reconsider their decisions, gather more information if needed, and make well-informed choices to secure their desired seats.
Finally, the much-awaited final seat allotment will take place on August 1, 2023. Successful candidates will be allocated seats in government colleges under the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) category, as well as 100 per cent seats in deemed, central universities, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), and BSc Nursing programs. The allocation will be based on the candidates' NEET results.
To apply for MCC NEET-UG Counselling 2023, candidates can directly access the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and click on the NEET UG 2023 Counselling link. After entering their NEET UG roll number and other required details, candidates will be successfully registered for the counselling process.
Once registered, candidates can proceed to the choice filling section on their account. Here, they can browse through the available options of colleges and courses and make selections based on their NEET UG rank. Before finalizing their choices, candidates must carefully review and lock their preferences within the specified deadline to avoid any future changes.
The mock seat allocation process, scheduled by the MCC, provides candidates with a glimpse of the potential seat allotment outcome based on their choices. This step allows candidates to gauge their chances of securing specific seats and make informed decisions ahead of the actual seat allotment.
If needed, candidates can modify their choices after the mock seat allocation, rearranging their preferences to increase their chances of obtaining their desired seats based on the results.
The final seat allotment, conducted by the MCC, will be based on the choices filled by candidates, their NEET UG rank, and the availability of seats in the respective colleges. Once the seats are allotted, successful candidates can download their allotment letters and proceed with the admission process at the designated institution. This marks a significant milestone in their journey towards pursuing medical education and fulfilling their career aspirations.
